Two rarely heard piano concerti, recorded in concert with Franz Vorraber as soloist. The Haydn concerto was rediscovered in 1803, after being considered lost for nearly 50 years. The piece is characterized by the fine weaving of the solo parts and their resulting, intimate dialogue. Mendelssohn first performed his concerto at age 13. It subsequently fell into oblivion and was not rediscovered until well into the twentieth century. It's full of youthful charm, brilliance and craftsmanship.
