In spring of 2023, Miscomings and Sea Moss were booked on the same bill by pure chance, at a spot in Portland which functioned as a coffee shop by day and an all ages punk venue by night. The evening marked the budding of a beautiful friendship fueled by shared sonic proclivities and a general love of rhythm and noise. Though the aforementioned venue has since shut down, the musical alliance lives on. Big Tube Scene cauterizes a meeting of musicians into permanence. The split as a format is a way for musicians to lift each other up, merging worlds and drawing lines between kindred aesthetics. In the true form of collective spirit, each side ends with a cacophonous collaborative track, aptly titled Seacomings and Mismoss, recorded live in a Seattle studio with all six musicians performing in unison.
