Albert King's left-handed, upside-down Gibson Flying V delivered a tone no one else could touch, and by the mid-1970s he was threading that unmistakable string-bending style through Memphis soul and funk without losing an ounce of grit. Originally released on Stax in 1974, this record captures King at a crossroads moment, holding the blues together with rhythm, groove, and sheer personality while the genre fought for airtime.

Limited vinyl LP repressing of this blues platter. In the mid-1970s, at a time when R&B-oriented radio stations had all but banished blues records from their playlists, Albert King continued to penetrate the airways with his up-to-date blues sound, and this album is no exception. The wonderfully funky "That's What the Blues Are All About" reached No. 15 on Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart, becoming King's biggest hit of the decade. Also includes 'Til My Back Ain't Got No Bone', 'I Can't Hear Nothing But The Blues', 'I Wanna Get Funky', 'Walking The Back Streets And Crying' and other King-sized classics.

I absolutely love it i listen to it almost everyday on my walkman that I found in my old stuff or in my ps2 its great listening to it after a 12 hour shift before the sun rises or on a cloudy rainy day plus Aaliyah is on the cover so how could I hate it the track has some of my favorite artist in one CD I fucks with this CD this CD good as a mug I'm tearing this bad boy up!
