Art Of Noise arrived in the early '80s as a collective genuinely committed to dismantling what pop music could be, built on tape manipulation, sampling, and studio architecture long before those tools were commonplace. The connection to Youth and Alex Paterson here isn't incidental; it traces a direct lineage from Trevor Horn's ZTT production laboratory to the ambient house movement those two helped define with the Orb.
This album contains 13 tranquil meditations remixed by Youth and Alex Patterson of the Orb. These ambient re-workings of the band's back catalog demonstrate the pioneering role the band played in the evolution of ambient house and new age dance music.
