Although Jazz cornetist Bix Beiderbecke's career was cut short by his untimely death at the age of 28 in 1931, he remains one of the most influential Jazz soloists of all time. The Davenport, Iowa native helped to invent the Jazz ballad style that eventually influenced the "cool" Jazz school of the 1950's. This collection focuses on his first recordings made with the original Wolverine Orchestra between February and October of 1924.
