The era of Seiji Ozawa as principal conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra spanned an impressive 29 years, a period of unparalleled musical excellence. Even before officially taking office, Ozawa and his orchestra created a multifaceted recording of Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique on Deutsche Grammophon that was praised by the New York Times as particularly "light and mercurial." THE ORIGINAL SOURCE SERIES is presented on 180g vinyl in deluxe gatefold edition with original cover and lyrics, the copies of this series are limited and numbered.
