Released in 1971, Master of Reality is where Black Sabbath discovered the full gravitational pull of tuned-down guitars, with Tony Iommi dropping his strings to accommodate his injured fingertips and accidentally inventing a heavier sound than anything that came before. Tracks like "Sweet Leaf" and "Children of the Grave" remain foundational texts for every doom, stoner, and heavy metal act that followed.
The greatest metal band of all time will also release deluxe editions of its first three studio albums Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality.
The deluxe edition includes the 2012 remaster of the original album, along with a second disc of outtakes that are previously unreleased in North America.
