Jack Antonoff built Bleachers as a vehicle for the kind of anthemic, emotionally direct songwriting that his work with fun. had only hinted at, and *Strange Desire* is where that vision fully clicked into place. The record draws heavily on '80s new wave and Springsteen-style heartland rock, a lineage Antonoff has never been shy about wearing on his sleeve.
Strange Desire is the debut album by indie pop act Bleachers, led by guitarist Jack Antonoff. The album was originally released on July 2014, through RCA Records, and produced the singles "I Wanna Get Better", "Shadow" and "Rollercoaster".
