For this third album from Buda Musique, the remarkable singer and Syrian oud player Waed Bouhassoun is joined by the Turkish flautist Kudsi Erguner, the Syrian flautist Moslem Rahal, and Kurdish singer and saz player Rusan Filizek. Waed sings of courtly love in Arabic, Turkish or Bedouin in the tradition of Oum Kalthoum and Asmahan.
