Buddy Guy and Junior Wells had been running together on the South Side of Chicago for years before this session captured them at their elemental best. The Rolling Stones connection that brought them wider rock audiences in the late '60s led directly to the caliber of admirers who showed up here, and hearing Clapton lock in behind Guy's guitar is a reminder of exactly how deep that mutual reverence ran.
Legendary guitarist Buddy Guy in collaboration with harmonica icon Junior Wells for their 1972 Atlantic album Plays The Blues. Features star-studded guest musicians including Eric Clapton/Derek & The Dominos, The J. Geils Band & Doctor John. Cut from original flat analog masters by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab. 1-LP pressed on 180g vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing.
