The Rose Bowl show that closed out this tour drew over 60,000 fans and stood as a landmark moment for electronic music's crossover into arena rock territory. MUSIC FOR THE MASSES - Music for the Masses is Depeche Mode's sixth studio album, released in September 1987. It marked a shift toward a more expansive sound and featured standout tracks like "Never Let Me Down Again, " "Strangelove, " and "Behind the Wheel." The record's success was supported by the groundbreaking "Music for the Masses Tour, " culminating in their legendary performance at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on June 19, 1988. The show was recorded for the live album 101 and as part of the film of the same name.
