2016 release, the eighth full-length album from the underground metal band. The history of Desaster reaches back as far as 1988 when two young metal maniacs from Koblenz, Germany, decided to follow the path once paved by bands such as Hellhammer and Destruction. When Desaster formed, they were inspired by bands like Venom, Hellhammer and Destruction. It's what Desaster is all about: 'A Fist In Your Face Metal Attack'!" Since the band's humble beginnings in 1998, Desaster has released upwards of twenty five full lengths, eps, live albums and split singles. A lot of time in 2015 was spent writing and eventually recording fresh songs. Early on, Desaster released a split 7" with Soulburn featuring one exclusive new composition. With their eighth studio album The Oath of an Iron Ritual, the musicians stay true to the uncompromising manners they have always represented. This time around they recorded together with Patrick W. Engel (Tiamat, Purgatory, Dark Millenium) in their own rehearsal space, which took just a couple of days in October.
