André Previn was one of the most in-demand jazz pianists in Hollywood when this session came together, fresh off a string of acclaimed Capitol collaborations that had established him as the ideal accompanist for a vocalist who knew how to let a song breathe. Shore's Tennessee roots and years of radio and television work gave her a conversational phrasing that suited Previn's restrained, melodic touch perfectly.
Dinah was at the peak of her Dinah Shore Chevy Show fame when she recorded this intimate 1959 session with the master Previn at the piano. Newly remixed, first time on CD!
