Released in 1999, *2001* marked Dre's long-awaited return after a decade that reshaped American music, and it arrived fully formed, a statement of West Coast dominance featuring Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Xzibit at the height of their powers. The production remains a clinic in low-end architecture and sonic space, the kind of record that rewards a proper stereo system the way a great live mix rewards a room with good acoustics.
The Definitive Sound Series presents Dr. Dre’s 2001 like never before. Mastered from the original analog master tapes and crafted using the acclaimed One-Step process for exceptional clarity, depth and fidelity. Limited to just 3,000 numbered copies pressed on 180g vinyl 2LP, each edition features a heavyweight tip-on double-pocket gatefold jacket and uniquely designed slipcase. The definitive audiophile pressing of an iconic album.
