Drugdealer - The End of Comedy (Digital Download Card) Vinyl Record

Brand new, factory sealed, and ready to ship fast from the U.S.

Drugdealer’s The End of Comedy is a warm, richly arranged blend of soft rock, psychedelic pop, folk, and classic singer-songwriter influences. Released in 2016, the album leans heavily into the sound of the 1970s while still feeling fresh, with lush instrumentation, smooth melodies, and a laid-back California atmosphere running throughout.

Led by Michael Collins, Drugdealer fills the record with vintage keyboards, acoustic textures, layered harmonies, and polished arrangements. Guest appearances from artists including Weyes Blood and Ariel Pink add even more personality to the album without disrupting its cohesive, mellow feel.

Highlights include “Suddenly,” “Easy to Forget,” “Were You Saying Something?,” “Sea of Nothing,” “The End of Comedy,” and “Find Me in the Air,” making this a strong pick for fans of soft rock, psych-pop, indie, and retro-inspired songwriting.

This vinyl edition also includes a digital download card, giving you another way to enjoy the album beyond the turntable.

The End of Comedy is a collection of vignettes - lucid, lysergic and organic - featuring homespun explorations of Carole King-esque piano ballads, spun-out psych folk and even New York City subway jazz. It is all pulled together by Michael Collins’ (Run DMT, Salvia Plath) deft AOR auteurship and keen sense of humour.
