Feeder arrived in 1997 with a sound that bridged the heaviness of American alternative rock with a melodic instinct that felt distinctly their own, and Grant Nicholas's guitar work gave *Polythene* a visceral energy that set them apart from the Britpop crowd dominating the UK at the time. The Cardiff-formed trio built a devoted following through relentless touring, and that road-hardened edge comes through clearly across these twelve tracks.
Thirty years on, Polythene remains a sharp and direct debut that introduced Feeder as a serious force in British alternative rock. Gold-certified in the UK, the album features the hits, “High” and “Perfect Day.” To mark its 30th anniversary, Polythene returns newly remastered and pressed on Inkplosion transparent orange, black and blue color eco-vinyl.
