Tokyo's For Tracy Hyde take their name from a Sonic Youth song, a lineage that signals exactly where they're coming from: the intersection of noise, melody, and emotional directness that defined indie rock's most restless era. *New Young City* captures a band fully in command of that inheritance, layering guitars into something dense and luminous without losing the intimacy that makes their songwriting land.
Widely regarded as a landmark of Japanese alternative, indie, shoegaze, and dream pop, New Young City stands as one of For Tracy Hyde's defining achievements. Built around the band's signature triple-guitar lineup, the album refines their lush ensemble sound while reinterpreting the traditions of neo-acoustic pop, shoegaze, and dream pop through a distinctly Japanese perspective. 2LP set on clear pink color vinyl.
