Before Lauryn Hill's voice became one of the most celebrated in popular music and before "The Score" made the Fugees a global phenomenon, the trio from New Jersey was finding its footing on this raw, sample-heavy debut. Wyclef Jean's production leans hard into reggae-rap fusion, planting a flag for the Caribbean-American sounds that would define the group's identity and influence a generation of artists who followed.
Blunted on Reality is the debut studio album by American hip-hop group Fugees. Originally released in January 1994 through the Ruffhouse Records label, the album had three singles including ”Boof Baf”, ”Nappy Heads” and ”Vocab.” This black vinyl edition is the first time the album has been repressed in the US since it was originally released.
