Fussenegger / Molinari - San Teodoro 8 - Music CD

San Teodoro 8 was inspired by the Italian composer Giancinto Scelsi. The majority of his work is based on self-recorded tapes, which he later had transcribed. Those until now rarely explored recordings are the source and also part of San Teodoro 8. Uli Fussenegger has put them together to a new many-voiced composition. In a live-performance, Ernesto Molinari, Martin Siewert, Mike Svoboda, and Uli Fussenegger himself have generated an unexpected perspective out of this historic sound material. Uli Fussenegger, born in 1966 in Feldkirch, studied with Franz Dunkler in Feldkirch and with Ludwig Streicher in Vienna. After many years of concert activity in the field of early music and historically informed performance, Uli Fussenegger specialized in contemporary music and joined the ensemble Klangforum Wien. Since then he appears regularly as a soloist as well as in various chamber and ensemble formations.
