Neo-new music band Good Bye April covers the city pop classics - Eiichi Ohtaki's 'Velvet Motel' & Bread & Butter's 'Pink Shadow' - and releases the double A-side single on the band's first 8cm strip CD! Release date for 'Tan CD Day 2025' (July 7th)!!This is the long-awaited full cover of Bread & Butter's 'Pink Shadow,' a favorite of fans as a live staple. It also includes a newly recorded cover of Eiichi Ohtaki's 'Velvet Motel,' which had a major influence on the band's songwriting. This album features jazz pianist Tetsuro Yafune (Pf, Rhodes), who is also known for his collaborations with Maki Nomiya and Yasuharu Konishi, creating a moody atmosphere. The humorous arrangement, which is both glamorous and light-hearted, expresses respect for the songs. The artwork was done by bassist Fumion Nobemoto. In addition, a release concert will be held on June 24th at COTTON CLUB in Marunouchi, Tokyo, featuring guest Ito Ginji, who was Eiichi Ohtaki's 'number one disciple' and participated in Niagara Triangle, Sugar Babe, and others.
