Tim Graves started his musical career at the age of fourteen. His first job was playing Dobro for a local East Tennessee band named Cedar Run. This stint lasted for about four years, during which time the group cut three records and played numerous festival around the country. In 1981, Tim and Bennie Boling, an East Tennessee banjoist, formed Cherokee. Cherokee became one of the official bands of the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville, TN. Tim spent ten years performing with Grand Ole Opry star Wilma Lee Cooper's band. Other than spending two years with the Osborne Brothers ('01-'03), Tim has been performing with his band, Cherokee, ever since.
