'Places in Space' includes the two new original compositions 'Entropology' and 'Orbits' with Ornette Hawkins signature cut-up style, repurposing live jazz instrumentalists, this time for mind-expanding results that stretch the definition of time and meter. Then you have Nic TVG's remix of the lead off track which gives it a slightly more steady pulse but still honors the original's freer moments. Rounding out the package is an Ornette Hawkins 'Impression' of Italian D&B producer Crix's track 'Nihil' which takes her electric piano and adds the spiritual funk of improvised jazz musicians and electronic effects.
