Interpol carved their name into post-punk history with a debut that made Lower East Side darkness feel cinematic, and they've never stopped chasing that particular tension between beauty and dread. This Spanish exclusive pressing on Rojo Perlado vinyl offers collectors something worthy of the band's visual and sonic identity, a format that matches the weight and deliberateness the music demands.
This Mirror Weighs a Ton, Interpol’s first album in four years and debut for Partisan Records, finds the band turning inward while continuing to move forward. Across the record, reflection, distortion and perception become a lens through which familiar shapes are refracted into something slightly alien, as if seen through a different kind of light.
