Originally released on October 11, 1994, through Immortal and Epic Records, Korn introduced the world to an entirely new approach to heavy music. Featuring unforgettable tracks like "Blind," "Ball Tongue," "Need To," "Clown," "Divine," "Faget," "Shoots and Ladders," "Predictable," and "Daddy," the album delivers an uncompromising journey through some of the darkest and most powerful recordings of the 1990s.

The legendary opening track "Blind" immediately established Korn's unmistakable musical identity with its haunting introduction, explosive guitar riffs, and unforgettable vocal performance. Meanwhile, "Shoots and Ladders" combines eerie nursery rhyme melodies with aggressive instrumentation, showcasing the band's fearless approach to musical experimentation.

Featuring vocalist Jonathan Davis, guitarists James "Munky" Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch, bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, and drummer David Silveria, this debut captures Korn's original lineup delivering the raw musical chemistry that would inspire generations of alternative metal artists.

With its distinctive downtuned seven-string guitars, percussive bass playing, unsettling atmospheres, and emotionally intense lyrics, Korn helped establish the foundations of a musical movement that would dominate heavy rock throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The album's influence can be heard throughout the evolution of nu-metal, alternative metal, and modern heavy music, making it an essential recording for anyone interested in the history of aggressive guitar-driven rock.
