Seoul-based Leenalchi built their sound around pansori, the centuries-old Korean vocal tradition known for its raw, storytelling intensity, filtering it through propulsive bass-driven arrangements that feel completely contemporary. Luaka Bop, the label David Byrne founded with a long history of championing boundary-crossing artists from around the world, is exactly the right home for music this singular and this hard to categorize.
"Leenalchi has changed the way I think about music, dancing and Korea. I have never heard anything quite like this. " - Brian EnoToday, we bring you LEENALCHI. There's so much to tell you about this amazing Korean band-but what will get you to listen?- What if we tell you that they play futuristic psych pop? - Or that they sound like animals talking to each other over tripped-out bass lines?HERE COMES THAT CROW is Leenalchi's first worldwide release (on Luaka Bop). They're touring North America, Europe & the World in 2026. Visit Leenalchi. Com to learn more.
