Lil' Ed Williams learned his slide guitar at the feet of his uncle, Chicago blues legend J.B. Hutto, and that raw, uncut South Side DNA runs through everything the Blues Imperials have put on tape since signing with Alligator in the late '80s. By the time *Full Tilt* arrived, the band had spent decades road-testing these grooves in clubs where the volume does the talking, and it shows.
FULL TILT is simply the rawest, truest, most electrifying blues being made today. Wielding his slide like a switchblade, Ed stokes the up-tempo tracks to a white-hot intnensity and the tough, slow blues even hotter.
