The Holy Bible has always been the Manic Street Preachers record that demands the most from its listeners, a brutal, claustrophobic statement that arrived in 1994 just before Richey Edwards' disappearance made it feel like something closer to prophecy than punk rock. Hearing James Dean Bradfield, Nicky Wire, and Sean Moore resurrect this material in a live setting is a genuine reckoning, the band confronting their own history with the kind of unflinching honesty the album always required.
