Long before comic conventions became cultural juggernauts, Marvel's fan club the Merry Marvel Marching Society built community the old-fashioned way, through mail-order memberships and novelty records like this one. The original 1966 theme is pure mid-60s kitsch charm, a relic of the moment Marvel's universe was first exploding into mainstream consciousness. Pressed on translucent yellow vinyl in the shape of Mjolnir's wielder, this is a collector's artifact as much as a music release.
