A blend of pop, rock, dance, electronica, trance, techno-rock, and R&B, it showcased a distinct sound from her work with the Spice Girls. Melanie C co-wrote every song on the album, collaborating with producers like William Orbit, Rick Nowels, Marius de Vries, Craig Armstrong, and Rick Rubin. The album achieved significant success, reaching number one in Sweden and the top ten in several other countries. In the UK, it peaked at number four and sold nearly 900,000 copies, becoming the best-selling solo Spice Girl album with close to 2.5 million copies sold worldwide.
