From landmark albums such as Ten, Vs., and Vitalogy to decades of acclaimed recordings and live performances, McCready has established himself as one of the most recognizable and influential guitarists of his generation.

With Farewell to Seasons, McCready expands his creative vision beyond the concert stage, bringing his passion for music and storytelling into the world of graphic novels.

The project draws upon the atmosphere and cultural legacy of Seattle's influential rock music scene, a musical movement that transformed popular culture during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

That extraordinary era produced legendary bands including Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Nirvana, helping introduce a raw, emotionally powerful sound that continues to inspire musicians and fans worldwide.

Farewell to Seasons captures the spirit of music-driven storytelling, exploring the creative relationship between rock culture, personal expression, and the visual arts.

The graphic novel format offers an immersive illustrated experience, bringing music-inspired themes to life through artwork and narrative.

What makes this Deluxe Edition especially exciting is the inclusion of a Vinyl LP, adding a physical musical component to the illustrated project.

For longtime Pearl Jam fans, the package represents a distinctive opportunity to explore another dimension of Mike McCready's artistic imagination.

For vinyl enthusiasts, the included LP adds the timeless appeal of physical music collecting, creating a special package that goes beyond a traditional graphic novel release.

DESCRIPTION:

Mike McCready, guitarist for Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog, and Mad Season, has teamed up with Z2 to release the original graphic novel and "lost" rock opera, Mike McCready’s Farewell to Seasons. Developed over the last 20 years, McCready’s story captures the drive and sense of community that forged the powerful backbone of the Seattle music scene of the 1980s, as their world changed forever with the explosion of grunge in the ‘90s. Farewell to Seasons unflinchingly shows the brutal cost it had for so many artists and musicians as it captures the lived experience of that seminal era. The glory and the heartbreak as it asks the unanswerable question… was it worth it?

Deluxe editions and Platinum of the graphic novel come packaged with a soundtrack of new and original songs, created by Mike McCready to serve as an artifact recording produced by the lead character, David Williams.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a pre-order item expected to ship by December 10, 2026.
