By 1970, Miles had stopped turning his back on the audience and started turning his back on jazz itself, leading electric ensembles through the Fillmore's rock-saturated rooms with the same restless authority he'd brought to Kind of Blue a decade earlier. These four nights document a band in constant mutation, with personnel and ideas shifting show to show, Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea sometimes sharing the stage, Hermeto Pascoal drifting through the orbit.
