The 1963 Monk side offers a fascinating pairing, Thelonious alongside clarinetist Pee Wee Russell, a New Orleans-rooted swing-era survivor reinventing himself in the company of bebop's most idiosyncratic architect.
A classic LIVE recording! 1 LP, 180g, Mono, individually #'d. Side 1 is high tempo bebop by The Miles Davis Sextet from 1958. Side 2 features 2 numbers from the Thelonius Monk Quartet with Pee Wee Russell from 1963.
