The album title belies the nature of these eleven tracks from Jeff Plankenhorn, a collection that ranges from the somber and sublime duet Holy Lightning with Patty Griffin to blues-driven rock numbers like the Ray Wylie Hubbard co-write Tooth and Nail. An enjoyable listen. Plankenhorn is hardly 'sleeping'.
