Les Claypool has spent four decades making bass guitar sound like nothing else in rock, and Primus has always operated on their own wavelength, too weird for metal, too heavy for alternative, beloved by exactly the right people. This limited pressing bundles recent standalone releases with new material, giving collectors a proper physical artifact of where the band stands right now.
Primus return with a brand new song, "The Ol' Grizz." The song travels through high-speed bass riffs, spaced-out arpeggios and double bass drumbeats to create a singular sound that can only be described as Primus. Paired here on this limited edition 12" with a new cover of "Holy Diver" and two songs released as a 7" last summer: "Little Lord Fentanyl" and a live recording of "Duchess (and the Proverbial Mind Spread)". Pressed on gold vinyl.
