Dominick Fernow has spent two decades pushing harsh noise and industrial electronics into increasingly ritualistic, emotionally raw territory, and *Pleasure Ground* finds him operating at the intersection of black metal atmospherics and club-adjacent darkness. As the force behind Vatican Shadow and a key figure in the New York noise underground, Fernow consistently blurs the line between physical punishment and genuine catharsis, music that demands something from the listener in return.
