Released in 2006, God Save Us found Fort Lauderdale metalcore heavies Remembering Never leveling up their craft while seesawing between power-bombed moshes (“Con Artist”) and ruthlessly-riffy speed (“Please Don’t Let My Mother Read This”). Despite the nickname, vocalist “Mean Pete” Kowalsky’s imposing bark runs extra-empathetic while contemplating religion, homophobia, crime and suicidal ideation. Just in time for its 20th anniversary, Ferret Music have restored God Save Us’ original artwork, loaded it up with an extra track, and pressed it onto eye-popping gold, olive and black-tinted vinyl.
