Robert Glasper's *Double Booked* captured a pivotal moment in jazz, splitting its two sides between his acoustic trio and the electric R&B-leaning Robert Glasper Experiment, essentially charting the dual creative identities he'd ride to a Grammy and widespread crossover recognition. The album bridged the Blue Note tradition with the hip-hop and neo-soul influences that would reshape jazz's relationship with younger audiences in the decade that followed.

A Blue Note essential - this 2009 album, Glasper's third for Blue Note, is part of the Blue Note 75 anniversary vinyl reissue campaign. Vinyl initiative spearheaded by current Blue Note Records President, Don Was, to include 100 essential Blue Note albums. Includes special Blue Note 75 vinyl sleeve that features album cover art for 75 Blue Note titles.
