Never ones to let people know in advance, SAULT have dropped their new album upon the world. It’s titled Chapter 1 and the group wrote on Instagram, “We are so grateful to share this body of work with you, thank you for being on this path with us. Thank you for embracing us and giving us the freedom to create whatever we like and whenever we like, we overstand that this is rare. We truly appreciate every single one of you, the journey continues, enjoy.”

According to credits provided to streaming services, Chapter 1 was produced by bandleader Inflo and features regular collaborators Cleo Sol and Jack Penate, and new to the party are legendary new jack swing innovators, Janet Jackson producers and all-around hitmakers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis who are all over this one as well.

As usual, this sounds like a million bucks, with lush soul and funk orchestrated with strings and horns and backup singers.
