As a sequel to The Secret Faur, the present recording features a number of other orchestral and concert works by the French composer. Most of these performances are based on the new critical edition of Faur's works published by Brenreiter Verlag, which presents them in editions grounded in the methodology of modern musicology. This recording therefore allows us to discover the composer anew, especially in the case of the present Allegro from his Symphony in F.
