Sleepytime Gorilla Museum built their following the hard way, through relentless touring and performances that blurred the line between concert and ritualistic theater, complete with handmade instruments and elaborate costuming. *In Glorious Times*, their 2007 release, captures the Bay Area collective at peak intensity, channeling the same avant-prog restlessness that made them one of the most genuinely strange and committed live acts of their era.
