Snowpony - Sea Shanties For Spaceships - Music CD

Snowpony's 2nd album was all but ignored upon it's original release - it had the misfortune of being released on September 11, 2001. Less monochromatically dark than their debut album, this album's sound is more in keeping with it's title. Like Laika or Moonshake, Snowpony blends shards of guitar with trip-hoppy electronic beats and layers of vintage synthesizers into a sound that's alternately alluring and harsh. The band features onetime My Bloody Valentine bassist Debbie Googe.
