Wino's post-Obsessed outfit Spirit Caravan remains one of the most undersung chapters in American heavy rock, rooted equally in Black Sabbath's thunder and the open-road spiritualism that runs through the best of the tradition. "Jug Fulla Sun," originally released in 2000, pairs that earth-shaking low end with a raw psychedelic warmth that earns every comparison to the classic stoner-doom canon. Heavy Psych Sounds pressing this one on colored vinyl is a long-overdue chance to own it properly.
