Bengt Olsson spent years in the American South documenting blues traditions that most collectors never encountered, and his field recordings capture performers outside the usual commercial pipeline. What surfaces here is the kind of raw, regional expression that reminds you why people started chasing these sounds in the first place, before the canon got codified and the mythology took over.
AMAZING blues field recordings made by Bengt Olsson in the late 1970s! Stunning songs, 80% of which are completely unreleased until now. Blues like you've never heard them. Rocking, contemplative, deep and wide. Comes in an old school ""tip on"" cover.
