Robert Smith has called Disintegration his favorite Cure album, and the case is hard to argue. Recorded at a moment when the band was pushing back against the pop accessibility of Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, it leaned deeper into atmosphere and orchestration, with Smith's layered guitars and Lol Tolhurst's keyboards creating something closer to an immersive environment than a conventional rock record. The 3-LP format gives that sound the physical space it deserves.
Double 180gm vinyl LP pressing in gatefold sleeve. Digitally remastered edition of The Cure's seminal eighth album. Originally released in 1989, Disintegration has come of age and has been remastered by Robert Smith to coincide with it's 21st anniversary. Features the hits 'Pictures of You', 'Lovesong', 'Fascination Street' and 'Lullaby'. Universal.
