Recorded in 1969 and released on Poppy Records, Townes Van Zandt's self-titled second album introduced the world to one of American music's most uncompromising voices. These songs, including "Waiting Around to Die" and "colorado Girl," established the skeletal, devastating honesty that would make him a songwriter's songwriter, name-checked by everyone from Emmylou Harris to Steve Earle. This Fat Possum pressing brings the record back to vinyl, where it belongs.
Originally released in 1969, Towne Van Zandt's self-titled album is reissued now.
