Los Angeles has always had a complicated relationship with its own mythology, and untitled (halo) taps directly into that tension. Dirty Hit's roster has long had an ear for artists working in emotionally dense, textured sound, and this debut slots naturally into that lineage while feeling distinctly rooted in its own place and time.
Los Angeles quartet untitled (halo) returns with its self-titled debut album, arriving October 30 via Dirty Hit. Rooted in the band's signature blend of trip-hop, shoegaze, and art rock, the album introduces the concept of ""California Melancholia""—a feeling that captures the emotional contradictions of growing up in Southern California, where idyllic landscapes coexist with longing, disillusionment, and the quiet search for connection.
