Bengt Olsson spent years in the field documenting Southern blues traditions at a time when much of this music existed only in living memory, and the recordings gathered here capture performers who never found their way onto major labels or festival stages. What you're holding is closer to an archaeological document than a conventional release, the kind of raw, unmediated blues that shaped everything from Chicago electric to the Dead's own roots-drenched repertoire.
AMAZING blues field recordings made by Bengt Olsson in the late 1970s! Stunning songs, 80% of which are completely unreleased until now. Blues like you've never heard them. Rocking, contemplative, deep and wide. Comes in an old school ""tip on"" cover.
