Varduhi Abrahamyan - "Rhapsody" Following Javier Camarena's Contrabandista, Franco-Armenian mezzo-soprano Varduhi Abrahamyan presents thenext release in the "Mentored By Bartoli" series - celebrating Pauline Viardot in the 200th anniversary year of her birth. Abrahamyan has her upcoming debut at the Met Opera as the title role in Carmen, and has appeared with Cecilia Bartoli in Alcina. The new album features a duet with Bartoli (track 2) along with an Armenian piece (featuring a duduk player) as a nod to Varduhi's heritage.
