Elvin Bishop was the original guitarist with The PAUL BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND joining them in 1963 and playing on there first 4 albums. He left them in 1968 to form THE ELVIN BISHOP GROUP and signed to the short lived Fillmore Records, started by legendary Fillmore owner BILL GRAHAM.
