Ricky Skaggs and Jerry Douglas were still years away from their solo breakthroughs and Nashville stardom, making these recordings a rare document of two future icons finding their footing together, unfiltered and hungry.
A lost treasure returns with new surprises! After their tenure with J.D. Crowe and the New South, future bluegrass legends Jerry Douglas and Ricky Skaggs founded Boone Creek (with guitarist Wes Golding and banjoist Terry Baucom). They pushed boundaries with a sound that infused traditional bluegrass with jam and pop. Remastered from the original tapes, this album includes four outtakes that were far ahead of their time. Step into a time machine and experience 1970s bluegrass like never before.
